Copy of Fox Hollow School-Wide Plan for 2020 - 2021

School Reopening Plan

Jordan School Board has approved a reopening plan for school with two options. Families can chose to have their children attend in person.  Classes will be held Monday through Thursday.  Students will not be required to attend in person on Fridays. The second option allows for full-time virtual learning from home with a Jordan School District teacher.  More information regarding the reopening plan can be found here:

movingforward.jordandistrict.org

If you want to choose the online option, you will go to the above link and complete the form entitled, "Registration for Virtual Online Learning for the 2020-2021 School Year."  This form needs to be completed by July 31, 2020.  Chromebooks will be available for check-out for students who have elected the online option.  Distribution dates will be posted as soon as they become available.

French Dual-language students can elect either of the above options, but also have the option of attending the French portion of their day in person and doing the English portion online.  If this is the desired choice, you will complete the, "Registration for Virtual Online Learning for the 2020-2021 School Year," at the above link and then call the school to let us know that your student will be attending the French portion of their day in person.

Face coverings will be worn by all students until further notice.  Exceptions may be granted in accordance with the July 17, 2020 Governor's Order Regarding Face Coverings.  Face coverings will be worn by all employees.

School will begin for grades 2-6 on August 25, 2020.  August 25 for first grade students is an orientation day.  The first regular day for first graders will be August 26.  The first six days of school for Kindergarten students is entry testing.  Each student will set an individual appointment to come in for testing with their teacher.  This is the only time the student will attend during the first six days.  The first regular day of Kindergarten is September 2. More information on scheduling either first-grade orientation or Kindergarten testing appointments will be sent soon.

Applications are currently available for current Kindergarten students who are wanting to be in the French Dual Language Immersion Program.  The program will begin when they enter first grade for the 2020-2021 school year.  There will be a parent information meeting held at Fox Hollow Elementary on January 30th at 5:30 p.m.  Representatives from the district will be here to answer questions.  There will be paper applications available at that meeting.  Applications can also be found online at:  French Application .  Applications will be due into the office at Fox Hollow by 2:00 p.m. on February 21st.

Kindergarten Registration is happening now!

If you have a child that will be five years of age on or before September 1, 2020, the child qualifies for next year’s kindergarten program. State law requires that all school districts in Utah abide by the same September 1st entrance cutoff date.

Enrollment paperwork can be filled out on the district website using the following link. Upon completion of the enrollment paperwork you will also need to bring into the school the following documents:

  • Original birth certificate
  • Current immunizations
  • Proof of residency
  • Parent/guardian ID

We will make copies of all of these documents.

Registration & Enrollment

If you have neighbors who have qualifying Kindergarten children, please share this information and encourage them to call the school to get their children registered. Please enroll early! The number of Kindergarten sessions is determined by this enrollment.

If you have any questions, please call the school at (801) 282-1818.
