School Climate Survey

Dear Parents and Guardians,
Beginning February 4, 2019, and continuing through March 15, 2019, our school will be administering school climate surveys. All parents/guardians and students second grade and higher are being invited to participate. The survey will be available in both English and Spanish.

The purpose of this survey is to gather input about school climate and the effectiveness of the teachers and administrators at our school. Responses are anonymous and no personal information will be collected. Reports will be made available for teachers and administrators to use in their school improvement efforts. The survey is short, taking less than 10 minutes to complete.

Students will take surveys during school time in the computer lab. If you do not want your child to take the survey, your child may opt out at the time of administration. You may send a note to school if you do not wish your child to participate, or your child may choose not to participate on their own. The first page of the survey allows the respondent to opt out of the survey by clicking “I do not wish to take the survey.”

Parents are invited to take the survey at the following link:

Computers will be available at parent teacher conferences, if parents wish to take the survey at school.

There will be no School on President's Day 2/18/2019.

Kindergarten registration for next year is now available.  You may complete the forms on Skyward.  A tutorial is attached at the bottom of this email to help with this process.  Once you have completed the online forms, we will still need you to bring in your student's original birth certificate, their immunization record, your ID and either a copy of your lease or mortgage statement showing your address in our boundaries.  Kindergarten orientation will be held for all incoming kindergarten students and their parent(s) on Friday, March 8 from 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. at Fox Hollow.  If you have friends in your neighborhood who may have a kindergartner coming in, but who do not yet have students in our school, please share this information with them.

French dual immersion applications are available online at: .  The applications are due into the office at Fox Hollow by 2:00 p.m. on February 22, 2019.

There is an opportunity for French students to participate in an after school program at the University of Utah.  Please see the attached flyer for more details.

Finally, as a reminder, our students will go outside for recess and lunch recess anytime the temperature is above 21 degrees Fahrenheit.  Please make sure that your students are wearing coats, gloves and hats.  We also have quite a few kids who love the puddles on our playground.  If you would like to tuck an extra set of clothes into your student's backpack then we won't have to call you for replacements if they get wet.  Also, please remember that our school opens at 8:00 a.m. each morning for breakfast.  Students should not be arriving earlier than 8, unless they are participating in an early morning class.  Students also need to be picked up promptly at the end of the day, 3:25 p.m. Monday - Thursday and 1:25 p.m. on Friday.  We have many students each day who are not picked up until 20 - 30 minutes after the bell rings.

Thanks for all you do to support our students!
